Buying a new 2012 Cadillac CTS

The 2012 Cadillac CTS is a mid-size 4-door SUV that seats 5 that is available in two models, 3.6L SFI and the 3.6L SIDI. The SFI version is powered by a 3.6 Liter V6 engine that is rated at 258 horsepower, a 6 speed manual transmission, though optional is a six speed automatic transmission. The SIDI versions are equipped with a 3.6 Liter V6 engine that has direct injection that is rated at 304 horsepower and a six speed automatic transmission. The CTS comes is offered with a choice of all wheel or rear wheel drive.

The 2012 CTS is shod with 17 inch tires, seats made of leatherette, a driver’s seat that is powered and can be adjusted in 8 different ways, a CD/MP3 player and satellite radio. To enhance the equipment inside the CTS has a number of enhancement packages. The equipment in the basic seating package includes heated power seats and leather trim.

In the Luxury package, one gets a CD player that can store 6 CDs, wipers that can sense rain, and seats that are both ventilated and heated, and a system that helps the driver park the vehicle. If one chooses the Premium Luxury Package, with the 2012 CTS one gets all the other packages plus a navigation system that is based on a 40 GB hard disk and a music system manufactured by Bose that has surround sound and a large sunroof.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS is equipped with anti-lock brakes, systems to control stability and traction, air bags on the side for those seated in the front and the OnStar communication system manufactured by General Motors. The vehicle has plenty of room for those seated in the back and for the driver as he is equipped with a telescoping steering wheel.
