2010 Chevy Avalanche pickup truck
The slightly understated and distinctively designed 5 passenger 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche boasts all the safety, comfort and functional versatility most people could want in a new pick up truck. The completely redesigned second generation Avalanche was first introduced and well received in 2010 and the 2010 Chevrolet Avalanche has improved upon the 2010 model with only a select few thoughtful and well positioned enhancements.
The fundamental features of the Five Star Safety Rated 2010 Avalanche include a powerful 5.3 liter, 8 cylinder, 320 horse power engine in most models, with the LTZ 4WD equipped standard with a 5.3 liter, V8,310 horsepower active fuel management engine. This years' Chevy Avalanche is available in 5 different models that can all be purchased in your choice of two or four wheel drive, making for 10 models in all from which to choose.
Advanced safety and security features to protect you and your passengers (as well as potentially contribute towards discounted automotive insurance premiums) include anti-lock brakes, an engine immobilizer, de-powered air bags, theft tracking system, daytime running lights, front and rear head air bags and optional rear parking sensors. Some of these features, a few of which are not yet available from the manufacturers of similar category pick up trucks, contributed towards The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration awarding its highest safety rating to the 2010 Avalanche in frontal crash tests on both the passenger and driver sides.
The visual appeal of both the interior and exterior of the 2010 Avalanche lean more towards a luxury SUV than the more rugged appearance typically associated with a pick up. The mid-gate design allows you to increase the cargo space into the rear seating area by simply repositioning the rear seats, removing the back window (which easily and conveniently stows directly underneath in a specially designed compartment) and folding down the mid-gate.
