The 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is a four door sports utility vehicle that seats 5. The TrailBlazer is available in two basic models, LT and SS. The TrailBlazer LT is powered by a 4.2 Liter engine that is rated at 285 horsepower. The LT can also be powered by an optional 5.3 Liter V8 engine that is rated at 300 horsepower. All are equipped with four speed automatic transmissions. The LT version is available with either a rear wheel or a four wheel drive. The SS version is powered by a 6.0 Liter V8 engine that is rated at 390 horsepower. It is equipped with a heavy duty four speed automatic transmission. The SS version is available with a two wheel or a full time all wheel drive system.
The entry level TrailBlazer 1LT is equipped with 17 inch tires, accessories that are fully powered, a cruise control system, OnStar, satellite radio and a CD player. If one gets the 2LT, one gets a system whereby temperatures inside the car are automatically controlled, air conditioning at the back, seats made of leather, a seat for the driver that is powered, mirrors are heated and a rear view mirror that dims the lights of the traffic. The 2008 3LT is equipped with 18 inch tires, a driver seat that has memory, a passenger’s seat that is powered and a music system manufactured by Bose. The TrailBlazer SS is equipped with a sport-tuned suspension with quicker steering, brakes which are high performance, and 20 inch tires. The TrailBlazer 3SS has the same equipment as that of the 3LT.
The 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer is equipped with antilock disc brakes, a system to control the stability of the vehicle and curtain airbags on the side. Though the TrailBlazer is a good vehicle, its cabin is dull and has been made of inferior materials. Though the layout of the buttons is simple and five adults can sit with ease inside it. It is equipped with 44 cubic feet of luggage space which can be increased to 80 cubic feet if the seats at the back are folded.
