For those that are wanting a sports utility vehicle that is going to be something that they can load the entire family, the pets and everything else that they need into, then the 2012 GMC Yukon. They will find that there are two trims available to those that are interested, and these are the SLE and SLT versions. Just what is the difference between the two versions? They will find that the SLE version is a bit cheaper with starting prices at around $39,700, while the SLT version is going to start pricing at around $45,200. In terms of power, the person will find that they have two options when it comes to the engines. There is the Vortec 5.3 liter, V8 engine that is available in two wheel and four wheel drive, that is going to give them around 320 horsepower. The other standard equipment that is a part of the performance feature of the Yukon is the fact that the person is getting the standard six speed automatic transmission, and both have the availability to run off of gas or E85. The gas mileage that the person can expect to find is around fifteen miles while driving in the city and getting around 21 miles a gallon on the highway. This may not seem like much fuel mileage, however, when taking into consideration the fact that this is a rather large vehicle with the ability to tow around 7100 or 7300 depending on whether the person is getting the two wheel or four wheel drive, they will find that this mileage is rather good.

In terms of safety, both of versions of the vehicle are performing rather well. The SLE, which is the standard version of the vehicle includes air bags that are mounted on the seat, in the headrests and of course the standard front and passenger side airbags, there is also a LATCH system that is installed in the vehicles to help with getting even children secured properly, a tire pressure monitor system and braking assist is also standard in the SLE version. The SLT version takes all the standard equipment found in the SLE version and adds to that a rear camera and rear parking assist. Of course, both have anti theft systems in place in the form of the pass key that must be present to get into the vehicle.

The exterior of the Yukon is going to have seventeen inch aluminum wheels as the standard equipment, along with black side steps that will be present on both versions of the Yukon. The person will find that if they are really wanting to have a wheel that is different that they can opt for the twenty or twenty-two inch options that are available through the dealer. There are also intermittent wipers that are installed on both the front and the rear. Along with such things as luggage racks installed on the top, recovery hooks, a full size spare tire, tinted factory glass, and so much more is what the person has to look forward to.

So how does it drive? With the stability that the vehicle has the person will notice that it does hug the road rather well, much better

than what most people would have expected coming from such a large vehicle. However, with that being said, the person will also find that in terms of parking, they are not going to be getting this into any tight spots anytime soon, since it is rather big.

Overall, the 2012 Yukon is something that every family is going to love to have on those long trips and have something that will accommodate everyone. And since there are so many extra things involved in the Yukon, the person will find that they are getting something that they will love driving.
