2012 Honda Pilot SUV accessory review
The 2012 Honda Pilot is a sports utility vehicle that is categorized as a mid-size crossover. The Pilot is available in four versions, a Value Package model, EX, EX-L and Special Edition model. All Pilot models derive their power from a 3.5 Liter engine that is rated at 244 horsepower and are equipped with a five-speed automatic transmission. The Pilot can be equipped with a choice between front wheel and all wheel drive, plus an unlimited number of Honda Pilot accessories available from aftermarket vendors.
Each model can be equipped with a choice of front wheel and all wheel drive and are equipped with a technology known as Variable Cylinder Management, which switches three of the engine’s six cylinders off, when the vehicle is slowing down or is about to stop. This system is only available with the Pilots equipped with the four wheel drive and it improves their mileage ratings. The fuel economy ratings of the Pilot are 16 miles per gallon on city streets and 22 miles per gallon highway.

The 2012 Pilot value is equipped with 16 inch tires, privacy glass, air conditioning, accessories that are fully powered, keyless entry, and the music system buttons are located on the steering wheel. The 2012 Pilot EX is equipped with a driver’s seat that can be power adjusted in eight different ways; there is extra storage space inside the vehicle; and temperatures are controlled automatically inside the vehicle and a HomeLink system. The Pilot EX-L is equipped with a sunroof, a satellite radio and front seats that are heated. The Special edition model is equipped with a sunroof, satellite radio and passengers in the back get a DVD based music system.
The 2012 Honda Pilot equipped with anti-lock disc brakes, a system to control the stability of the vehicle, air bags in the side for those seated in the front, curtain airbags that run the entire length of the vehicle. All Pilot models seat eight passengers in three rows of seats, but in the third row only children can fit in as there is not much room for adults to stretch their legs. If all three rows are filled then there is only space left for one to store ones groceries or golf bags.
