The 2011 2012 Kia Rio ships today as a small 4-door sedan or a 5-door hatchback. The car is available in three models, entry level, LX and SX, while the hatchback is available in only one model the SX. All four models derive their power from a 110 horsepower 1.6 Liter 4-cylinder engine and are equipped with a five speed manual transmission. A four speed automatic transmission is optional on the LX and SX models. The fuel economy ratings of the Rio equipped with the manual transmission are 32 miles per gallon on city streets and 35 miles per gallon on the highway. The fuel economy ratings of the Rio equipped with the automatic transmission are 29 miles per gallon on city streets and 38 miles per gallon on the highway.
The 2011 2012 Rio entry level model is equipped with 14 inch tires, a tachometer and an adjustable driver's seat. The 2011 2012 Rio LX model is equipped with air conditioning, a CD player, power steering, a 60-40 split rear seat and a tilting steering wheel. The 2011 2012 Rio SX model is equipped with fog lights, 15 inch tires, a rear spoiler, metal pedals and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. If one opts for the SX model equipped with the power package, then one gets 16 inch tires, power accessories and keyless entry.
