2011 2012 Kia Sorento test review

The 2011 2012 Kia Sorento is a sports utility vehicle that seats five and is available in three models, entry level, LX and EX. The entry level and LX models derive their power from a 3.3 Liter V6 engine that is rated at 242 horsepower. The EX model is powered by a 3.8 Liter V6 engine that is rated at 262 horsepower. All three models are equipped with a five speed automatic transmission that has a manual shift gate. It is available in rear or four wheel drive formats. In the four wheel drive, it has a normal system that cannot be engaged on dry roads and a four wheel drive system called Torque on demand which cannot be engaged on dry roads.

The 2011 2012 Sorento entry level model is equipped with air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel, cloth seats, bucket seats in the front, a rear seat that is split and can be folded, mirrors that are powered and heated, windows that are powered and equipped with a deicer, a music system that has AM/FM radio and a player that can play CDs/MP3music, tachometer, mirrors that have illuminated visors, a defogger at the back and headlights that switch off automatically. The 2011 2012 Sorento model has all the features of the entry level model but adds, a cruise control system, entry into the vehicle is without keys and the cargo area has a cover. The 2011 2012 Sorento EX model adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel and has music control buttons located on it, a driver's seat that can be adjusted in eight different ways using power, a rear view mirror that is automatic, a compass, a computer, mats for the floor and a button that will open all garage doors.

The 2011 2012 Kia Sorento is equipped with anti-lock disc brakes, a system to control the stability of the vehicle, a system that checks the pressure in the tires, an air bag that protects the knees of the driver, curtain airbags that run the entire length of the vehicle and airbags on the side for those seated in the front. The interior of the Sorento has been designed tastefully, but there is a lack of room for passengers to rest their legs. It can store 31.4 cubic feet of baggage.
