2008 Endeavor test review
A 5-passenger midsize V6, the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor, is the new car-based SUV that is creating a new wave in the SUV pond. Not intended for off-roading, the 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor has front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive without low end gearing. With models range from the LS FWD to the Limited AWD, the all new 2008 Mitsubishi Endeavor is available in six trim levels. With its higher stance and nimble handling and agility, the Endeavor is a great deal of fun to drive. Both the LS FWD and the Endeavor Limited AWD are equipped with a standard 3.8-liter, V6, 215-horsepower engine with an iron block, aluminum heads and single overhead cam that achieves 17-mpg in the city and 23/21-mpg on the highway. Also common to both the Endeavor LS FWD and the Limited AWD is a four-speed Sportronic automatic transmission with manual shifting capability.

The LS model Endeavor is designed with black accents outside while the more expensive models have chrome touches or color enhancements. The cabins of both the Endeavor LS and the XLS display an eye-catching instrument panel with audio and climate controls mounted in a center robot-like pod.
