The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer is a compact 4-door sports sedan. The Lancer is available in three models, entry level, ES and GTS. All three models derive their power from a 2.4 Liter engine that is equipped with four cylinders and is rated at 152 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. All Lancer models are equipped with a five speed manual transmission. Buyers have the option to choose a continuously variable transmission. The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer is equipped with air bags mounted on the side for those seated in the front, curtain airbags for the passenger's head that run the entire length of the vehicle and air bags that protect the knees of the driver.
