2008 Saab 9-3 Convertible, Sport Sedan
The 2008 Saab 93 sport sedan is a four door vehicle that can carry five passengers and is available in two models, the 2.0T and the Aero. The 2.0T model is powered by a turbocharged four cylinder 2.0 Liter engine that is rated at 210 horsepower. The Aero Model is powered by a 2.8 Liter V 6 engine that is rated at 255 horsepower. The 2.0T model is equipped with a five speed manual transmission; while a five speed automatic transmission is optional. The Aero model is equipped with a six speed manual transmission though a five speed automatic transmission with steering wheel mounted shift paddles is optional on the model. The sport sedan is built on the same Epsilon body which is used for building the Opel Vectra and Chevrolet Malibu.
The Sport sedan 2.0T model is equipped with 16 inch tires, seats made of leather, a driver’s seat that can be adjusted in eight different ways, a two zone automatic climate control system and a CD music system with 7 speakers and satellite radio and a split back seat that can be folded. The 93 Sport Sedan Aero model is equipped with 17 inch tires, sport seats in the front and an expensive Bose music system with a CD changer that is located in the dashboard. The 2008 93 is equipped with antilock disc brakes, a stability control system, the OnStar telematics system and active restraints for the head. In safety tests carried out by the National Highway Traffic safety Administration for driver protection in case of a head on collision, the vehicle earned four stars out of five, and for the front passenger it earned five stars.
