2008 Saab 95 Shopping Wagon review

Even with a full load out on the road, the Saab 95 Shopping Wagon, is powerful and well-balanced. A parcel shelf separates the quiet, comfortable interior from the luggage compartment . The cargo area of the SportWagon is versatile and voluminous enough to handle almost any load you need to haul, and measures to keep the load securely in place. We are especially pleased to present this 2008 Saab SportWagon review for your information and assistance.

The Saab 95 Linear is powered by a 185-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder that comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission or a five-speed automatic. The Arc gets its power from a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 rated at 200 hp with the five-speed automatic as standard. Aero models get a high-output version of the Linear's four-cylinder motor that produces 250 hp. Like the Linear, the Aero comes standard with a five-speed manual while a five-speed automatic is optional. Shift buttons on the steering wheel for manual control of the five speed automatic are new this year.

The Linear is the base model that comes standard with leather upholstery, walnut trim, power/heated seats, front and side airbags, and the OnStar communications system, just to name a few items. The uplevel Arc adds ventilated front seats, three-position driver-seat memory, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and an upgraded muscular audio system. CargoTracks (TM) in luggage compartment floor and a sliding load floor make the 2008 Saab SportWagon truly unique.

Adaptive force front airbags, active head restraints and head-torso side airbags are standard on all Saab 95s. Antilock brakes, traction control, Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and an electronic stability control system come standard as well. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gave the 9-5 a rating of "Good," its best, and named the 9-5 a "Best Pick" in crash test survivability. The 2008 Saab 95's seats equipped with the optional heating and ventilation feature are exceptionally comfortable. All this plus a great ride made it easy for us to write our 2008 Saab 95 SportWagon review with such relish and enthusiasm. The radio and climate controls are easily accessible and easy to use. Passenger room is abundant all with a split-folding rear seat and nearly 16 cubic feet of trunk space for increased versatility. The wagon supplies 37 cubic feet of luggage capacity with the rear seats in use and 73 cubic feet when they're folded.
