For those that are wanting a vehicle that is rugged and is something that is going to get them through whatever kind of adventure that they have to get through, they are going to find that the 2012 Toyota 4Runner is the SUV to have. This is perhaps on the most popular SUV’s that is made by Toyota and is considered to be direct competition with the likes of the Jeep Cherokee and other rugged SUV’s that are going to give the person all the options that they need whether it be on road or off road. The person will fid that the truck quality that they have always loved with the 4Runner, is still intact and ready for the person that is looking to find something that is going to give them the results that they are needing.

The person that sees the 4Runner may think that the performance aspect of the vehicle is something that is not present in the vehicle. However, they will find that this is not the case. The person will find that they are getting a 4.0 liter, V6 engine that is going to offer around 270 horsepower, which is more than enough to get the person from stop light to stop light. In terms of models, the person will find that they have two options, both offering the same engine. The only different is that the SR5 offers a rear wheel or part time four wheel drive, while the Trial models offer four wheel drive. And of course, for those that are wanting the best off roading vehicle that they can get they will find that the Trial model is the best that they can choose. And in fact the Trail models do have a bit more rugged undercarriage in order to deal with the off roading that they may come across. Of course, within each model, the person will find that they can get various selections to choose from that is going to allow them to have the best in electronics or just a typical base model, whatever they choose.

On the interior of the 4Runner, people are going to find that it is not extremely roomy as many other SUV’s out there, however, they have to realize that the SUV was designed with off roading and so forth in mind, not for luxury and comfort. With that being said, the person will find that there are other aspects that are going to attract their attention. For one, the fact that they are getting something that has tons of extras that are going to make the person feel like they are more in a cock pit than an actual vehicle. Which is just one of the pros that this vehicle has to offer. The extra items that come with the vehicle if the person chooses to use them are things such as an iPod port, Bluetooth capabilities, premium sound system, a rearview mirror to help with backing up and so forth. The person will also find that the 4Runner is also going to come equipped with their own personal Entune services, which is something that most people are happy about.

So just how does the 4Runner drive? The person will find that since this SUV is one that is going to be based on the trucks that is produced by Toyota that they are going to feel a bit of tighter steering when compared to a car. However, with the off road capabilities the person will find that this is to be expected. And the good news is that the 4Runner is going to be able to handle anything that comes its way in terms of the roading and the difficulties that may lie ahead.
