2008 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited review
The 2008 Toyota Sienna is a minivan that comes in CE, LE, XLE and XLE Limited models. The Sienna seats between seven to eight passengers depending on the model one buys. All four models are powered by a 3.5 Liter V6 engine rated at 266 horsepower. The engine is equipped with a five speed automatic transmission. The fuel economy ratings of the Toyota Sienna model equipped with the four wheel drive are 17 miles per gallon on city streets and 24 miles per gallon highway, while that of the all wheel drive model are 16 miles per gallon on city streets and 21 miles per gallon highway.
The 2008 Sienna is 200 inches long and has a wheel base of 119 inches, which gives it almost the same size as a large sports utility vehicle. This size has meant that it has a lot of room for passengers to be seated comfortably for long drives. The steering wheel on all Sienna models has tilt and telescoping which has meant that the size of the vehicle does not pose a problem for its driver to park the vehicle. Also the driver has a camera fitted at the back of the vehicle that warns him if any person or object is obstructing his way when he is reversing to park the vehicle. It has large head and rear lights, a big windshield that is equipped with wipers that can clear the worst snow.
The entry level 2008 Toyota Sienna model is equipped with air conditioning, a six speaker music system and a jack that allows one to play MP3 players. The Top of the line Limited model is equipped with leather seats, a cruise control system and a DVD entertainment system for those seated in the back. All models are equipped with air bags that protect the front passengers in case of a side on collision, anti lock brakes and a vehicle stability control system. The 2008 Toyota Sienna was awarded four points out of five for driver protection in case of a head on collision in tests carried out by the government.
